EU Directive (EU) 2018/2002 and CZ Act No. 406/2000 Coll. require newly installed and replaced heat/cooling and DHW meters to be remotely readable from 1 Jan 2027.

Why this obligation exists

Directive (EU) 2018/2002 promotes transparency and savings for energy and water. Remote reading gives residents and managers continuous consumption data, enabling quicker leak detection, operational optimisation and fair allocation.

The Czech Energy Management Act (No. 406/2000 Coll.) transposes this requirement and mandates that from 1 Jan 2027, newly installed and replaced heat/cooling and DHW meters must be remotely readable.

Yes, readings are taken remotely, without the need for a physical visit. The measured data can be monitored at: https://cloud.sensorly.cz

We use LoRaWAN technology, which works without an Internet connection. However, the Gateway requires Internet. In case of its unavailability, a SIM card can be used.

We store data on our data servers. Access is controlled by user roles and encryption.
