Remotely readable meters – obligation from 1 Jan 2027
Act No. 406/2000 Coll. sets the obligation for remotely readable heat/DHW meters and the deadline of 1 Jan 2027 for existing installations.
Legal basis
- Section 7(11): newly installed meters and devices registering heat delivery must be remotely readable; existing installations must be updated by 1 Jan 2027.
- Section 7(12): remote reading means no apartment access; devices must allow at least monthly remote reading.
- Decree No. 207/2021 Coll. governs billing information; with remote data transfer, information is provided at least monthly (e.g., Section 18a(3)).
